Understanding What Works and What Doesn’t: Why Qualitative Research Matters

Karishma Huda, Senior Social Policy Specialist at Development Pathways , formerly the lead researcher for Graduation research at BRAC Development Institute (BDI) recently blogged on the importance that qualitative research plays in informing us how the process of change unfolds in program participant’s lives and why some participants succeed and others do not in the Graduation Program.

She also shares the key take-aways from the qualitative research conducted by the BDI Graduation Research Team for pilot sites in Ethiopia, Haiti, India and Pakistan.
